Shakira has announced that her forthcoming album will be self-titled. The singer is explaining her choice in a lengthy Facebook post on Wednesday, which was also her son Milan's first birthday.
She writes that the new album was recorded over "the happiest period in [her] life thus far," and that it isn't "thematic" or "conceptual." Instead, she says the release is "a little bit of everything," a reflection of her own personality - which she describes as "sensitive" and "upbeat" to "dreamy," "romantic" and "a little melodramatic."
Shakira tells fans she's worked tirelessly with many different people to put together the finished product, which will be released on March 25th. It's being led by the Rihanna-assisted "Can't Remember To Forget You."
